Ventura College Community Education--African Drumming
Join us for an exciting, high-energy and most of all fun, introduction to rhythms from Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East. All skill levels are welcome. No previous music experience is required. Drums are available for students to rent or bring your own. In this class you'll learn rhythms like the Fanga, Rumba and Iube, as well as the cultural context behind the songs. I will guide you along your "rhythm journey" every step of the way! After only 1 hour you and your fellow beginning drummers will be making beautiful music together and having more fun than you imagined!
